# Friends - FOLK Wiki

> Friends, chat, gifts and parties.

Make friends, talk, send gifts and team up for dungeons.

## Making friends

- Tap a player you meet and follow them. Once you both follow each other, you are friends.
- The Friends menu shows where your friends are right now: in the Overworld, the Town, a dungeon, or on their island.
- The Feed shows what your friends get up to: new friends, summoned Folks, levels, dungeon escapes, gifts and duels. You can react to each one.

## Chat and emotes

- There is no typing: you talk with quick-chat phrases and emotes, which pop up above you for everyone nearby.
- Phrases show up in each player's own language.

### Quick-chat phrases

- **Greetings**: Hi! Welcome! Good night! Bye!
- **Social**: Thanks! Sorry! Well done!
- **Coordination**: Follow me! Help! Revive me! Look at this! Need wood! Let's meet in town! Dungeon?
- **Answers**: Yes! No! Wait!

### Emotes

Wave, Heart, Smile, Nice, Deal, Cool, Innocent, Shy, Woozy, Bittersweet, Melting, Rude.

## Gifts

- Send items or coins to a friend from the Friends menu.
- An item gift costs 20 coins in postage. A coin gift costs 10% of the amount, and at least 20 coins.
- Any item can be a gift, even the Common and Uncommon artifacts the Swap Shop won't take.
- Your friend accepts it into their backpack or Storage Room from the Gifts tab, or sends it back to you.

## Parties

Team up with friends for a dungeon run, in a party of up to 3. Invite friends who are online from the Friends menu or at a Dungeon Entrance.
