# FOLK Wiki

> Everything about FOLK: the Folks, the world, and what to do in it.

New to FOLK? Start here.

## Your Folks

You start with Kappa. Walk into a wild Folk to fight it. Wins earn experience, up to level 20 (less against Folks below your Folk's level), and beating one at your Folk's level or higher also drops an artifact. Collect the right artifacts to summon a new Folk. See Folkopedia, Artifacts, Spells and Elements.

## The world

You begin on your own island. Take the portal to the Overworld, where everyone plays together, or to the Town, where the shops are. See Town and Dungeons.

## Gather, cook, build

Chop trees, break rocks, fish, dig and plant. Cook dishes to heal your Folk, get energy back and boost its stats for a while. Use what you gather to build a home. See Gathering, Items, Cooking & crafting and Buildings.

## Dungeons

Find a dungeon entrance in the Overworld and go in, alone or with friends. Beat the Warden to reach the boss, Heart of the Deep. See Dungeons.

## Other players

Trade at the Swap Shop, send gifts to friends, or challenge someone to a duel. See Town, Friends and PvP.

## Not sure what to do?

Open the Island Journal. It gives you a goal and a reward for each step. See Progression.
